dog sleding across wyomingMONDAY: ** We'll pick you up at the airport or at your motel around 7:30, should you have stayed the night in Jackson. Driving through Grand Teton National Park we'll reach the Ranch and check in about 9 am and have breakfast in our historic Lodge. We'll give you an opportunity to get acquainted with us and the Ranch. Cross- country equipment will also be checked out and we'll head for the Continental Divide Trail and Red Creek Cow Camp for your first day of sledding in the Shoshone National Forrest. We'll get back to the Triangle C for a hot lunch. In the Afternoon we'll cross-country ski and arrive back at the Ranch in time for Social Hour and dinner.

TUESDAY: We'll visit Whiskey Mountain near Dubois, where roams the largest herd of wintering Bighorn Sheep in North America. We'll tour the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center in Dubois. A basket lunch of Sallie's makings will be on the trail. We'll visit the Ancient Indian Petroglyphs and take an ice fishing excursion on Ring and Torrey Lakes. Back to Triangle C Ranch for dinner and social hour in the new Wind River Room.

WEDNESDAY: Our big day in Yellowstone National Park. We'll van from the ranch over the Continental Divide through Grand Teton National Park via Jackson Lake to the South entrance of Yellowstone where we'll saddle up in our comfy snowcoach and ready ourselves for a long trip to view the exciting and execltent winter vacations at the dude ranchincomprehensible natural phenomenon of geysers, glory pools, buffalo, elk, Old Faithful and waterfalls. It will take all day but we will visit the historical Old Faithful Snowlodge for lunch and then return to the Triangle C for dinner.

THURSDAY: It's our Wild West day with an exciting horseback ride in the Wind River Mountains. They are incredible with their high mountain lakes, magnificent vistas, virgin forests, and pristine wilderness. We'll visit the old Crowheart Store that lies in the shadow of Crowheart Butte on the Wind River Reservation. We'll take along a scrumptious picnic and enjoy a swim in the ancient Hot Springs at the Arapaho site in Ethete. We'll tour back to Fort Washakie, headquarters of the Shoshone Arapaho tribe and visit the grave site of Sacajawea.

FRIDAY: ** Beautiful Brooks Lakes Lodge with its awe inspiring view of the Pinnacles and lying on the shores of the prehistoric Brook's lake, is the destination of our half-day cross-country ski trip. We have lunch in the historic, game trophy lodge at Brooks Lake Lodge and return along the Continental Divide for an afternoon of Dog-sledding in the Absaroka Range. Be your own Musher, if you like, or ride along the 350 miles of Continental Divide Trail under a sparkling mantle of snow through the dramatic topography that lends itself to a variety of exciting runs on forested trail and frozen flats high atop the Divide.

SATURDAY: Bright and early on this crisp, cold morning we mount our snowmobiles again for the Top of the World to Lava Mountain where there is an unbelievable 360 degrees view of the Wind River Mountains, Gros Ventre Range, the Tetons and Absaroka Mountains. We'll visit the wildlife feed grounds which feeds part of the largest wintering herd of elk in North America.

All trips of "Ol' West in Winter" include all meals, all equipment, lodging at the Triangle C in Rustic Elegant Cabins, Spa Facilities, use of our new 8,000 square foot lodge and dining room including two pool tables, foosball, darts, home theater with satellite dish Conference room Trading Post, guide service , social hour nightly at the Tie Hack Saloon as well as evening entertainment. We have a team of horses for activities and cook-outs on the ranch, when the weather permits.

We reserve the right to rearrange these schedules to accommodate availability and weather.

TAX: There is a 4% sales tax on the entire amount and 2% lodging tax assessed on 1/3 of the of the base amount.

SERVICE CHARGE: For your convenience is a 15% service charge will be added to your final bill to cover services provided.

RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSIT: 1/3 of the total amount is due when reservation are made. This may be by credit card or by personal check. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. In the event that you are sending a check, we will hold your reservation five working days in order to receive your deposit.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT: Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received in writing 6 weeks prior to arrival will receive full refund if space can be filled. For cancellations made within the 6 weeks prior to arrival and if space cannot be filled, guests will receive credit for their deposit which may be applied to next year's season or forfeited. Deposits are for the purpose of guaranteeing each individual's reservation. Deposit will be forfeited if any portion or any individual's confined reservation is not used or is canceled 6 weeks or less prior to your arrival.

CHECK OUT: All guests checking out on Sunday must settle any additional charges on Saturday evening.

SUNDAY: No services or hot meals on Sunday. No guides available on Sunday. Stay over on Sunday: $40 per person extra and $100 for machine rental. There is no maid service or hot meals but Continental Breakfast is available. A portion of the lodge is open for Sunday evening to relax in.

ALL TOURS INCLUDE

Transportation to and from the gateway communities. All meals, and an experienced guide with knowledge of flora, fauna and history.

We require you to use our waterproof duffle. All personal gear listed below will be carried on your snowmobile. There is a 25 pound limit per person. A light fanny pack will work great to expand your storage space.

  • Pair of warm pants or sweats to wear under snow-suit
  • Pair of casual pants to change into for evening wear
  • 2 long sleeved shirts
  • 1 pair of insulated
  • long underwear (top and bottom)
  • 3 changes of regular underwear
  • 3 pair of wool socks
  • 1 pair of warm shoes for evening wear
  • Wool sweater and turtleneck
  • Scarf, wool hat, and full face ski mask
  • Sunglasses with safety strap
  • Toiletries
  • Camera and extra film
  • Binoculars
  • Extra cash (bar tab, gratuities)
  • Sunscreen, skin cream and lip balm
